At the 2005 San Diego Comic Con (SDCC), I met J. Scott Campbell where back over 15 years ago, he used to draw sketches and render commissions for fans in-person, live, at the shows (convention appearances). This was done in July 2005. Scott Campbell signed and dated this piece. I was wise enough back in the early days of getting sketches and commissions, not to use a sketchbook, backing boards or small paper. I carried bundles of original comic art traditional illustration boards, measuring 11" x 17" as I found the format to not only be most appealing, but the artists tended to fill the page and draw with greater size, scope and detail probably because they saw you're a serious art collector and fan more so than if they were drawing for someone who might be just giving it a casual thought who might not treasure the piece or even keep it for the long term.

As you can see, the rendering space of this piece is "border to border" on the 11" x 17" board, filling up the entire page. This was rendered in black ink and signed on the side.

I guarantee the authenticity 100%. Scott Campbell's appearance at SDCC from 2005 that I printed and kept with the art back over 15 years ago to see his scheduled appearance details. I decided to sell this piece because I acquired published original art from J. Scott Campbell and decided to offer this to another JSC fan to enjoy in their collection and spread the love for his original art.
