Timm's art dealer told me at a NJ convention this was going to be used for a cover. The title I do not remember. You can see the wide space at the top where the logo was going to go. The edges are a little beat up from when he drew it.
He draws on very thin paper as many of his collector's know. If you are not familiar with Timms process he draws in pencil on one sheet then inks it on another and photocopies the inks and colors them on the back.
In this one he photocopied the blacks and colored and drew over it for the final finish piece. Google some of his pieces and you can see his process. There is usually three different parts to one drawing. This is the finale stage of his process. The large black spots are photocopied to get a solid black for publishing because when you pump up the blacks in photoshop the markers get jacked up in the resolution. This being the reason for the photocopied blacks for the darkest version to go to print.
