Here is a worn copy of THE FAR SIDE, a third printing from 1982, but inside the front cover is something wonderful. An original cartoon by Gary Larson, of a superhero Superman? Rescuing a cow from a burning building!

There is a signed inscription beside it that reads. I can't thank you. Perhaps the cartoon is meant to represent Mike (as the superhero) rescuing Gary (as a cow).

Whatever it means, it's great fun and a rarity. Larson's FAR SIDE originals are notoriously rare in commerce. And so is any other original art by him. Some of the pages are loose at the back and there are stains on the rear inside cover.
